June 10-15, 2011 - PORTLAND ROSE

Day one
travel to Vancouver, WA and check-in to our
accommodations for the next four nights - the Red
Lion at the Quay on the banks of the Columbia River.
Day two travel to Portland, Ore for the spectacular
Rose Parade. Reserved indoor seating of this Grand
Floral Parade. Today you will also enjoy float
viewing and time at the renowned Portland
International Rose Test Gardens.
Day three visit historic Ft Vancouver for a guided
tour including a cooking school demonstration and
hands on demonstration in the historic Bake House.
We have also included a tour of the historic Pearson
Air Base.
Day four includes a guided tour of the Pendleton
Woolen Mills with time to browse the on-site factory
store. Following our tour we journey up the scenic
Columbia River Gorge Highway. The afternoon includes
a narrated sternwheeler cruise on the mighty
Columbia and a visit to the Columbia Gorge
Interpretive Center. Day five we travel to the
Oregon coast and historic Florence, Ore. A fun
afternoon as you enjoy a dune buggy ride on the
Oregon Sand Dunes plus a guided tour of the
Myrtlewood Factory at Coos Bay. Over-night at the
Red Lion, Coos Bay. Day 6 travel home with wonderful
